Do you enjoy making extra cash doing things like visiting websites or clicking on ads? Do you want to add another site like Mturk to your work-at-home list? Do you enjoy easy and quick payouts? Then Clixsense might be something for you to look into. Check out our Clixsense review below to see all the details and decide if it's for you.
Clixsense Review – What Exactly is Clixsense?
Clixsense is one of those task-oriented sites that has evolved into something larger with more work and opportunities. When I first joined in 2009, it was primarily just a site to go and click on ads and view them for a few seconds and close them out. The clicks paid between $.01 to $0.02 and you had to get to $10 before you could cash out.
Clixsense has now become one of those wonderful sites like Mturk, Swagbucks, Inbox Dollars and several others where you can log in whenever you like and earn extra cash. I’ve never known anyone to boast about working full-time at Clixsense, but I have heard of people enjoying the extra money while waiting for freelance work to come around or when logged in to a call center on an unusually slow day. Many of these tasks are ones that you can do while doing something else.
Most tasks/hits are easy and don’t require too much thinking; however, some of your better paying ones do require more concentration and are more difficult.
The types of tasks at Clixsense are not limited to, but can include:
- viewing ads
- visiting and researching websites
- filling out forms for free offers
- taking surveys
- playing ClixGrid (games)
- performing micro-tasks
- shopping online
Is It Free to Join?
Clixsense is free to join. Just sign up with a legitimate email account, which will be verified. You will also need to create a user name and a password.
There is a premium account that you can upgrade to as well. I have met Clixsense workers that state upgrading has made all of the difference in the world in their earnings. The premium account allows you to have access to more work and also better paying hits/clicks as well as higher commissions on some of the commissioned jobs.
The cost to upgrade to a Premium account is $17 a year for one full year or $30 for two full years.
How Much Money Can You Earn With Clixsense?
It all depends upon what you will be doing. Some tasks pay more than others. Some of the surveys pay a few dollars, whereas most of the ad viewing clicks only pay a few cents.
There is also a program on Clixsense entitled Daily Checklist Bonus where you can earn a 5% bonus on a free account and a 12% bonus with a Premium account. This will be in the FAQ section when you join, but basically it is a checklist of the number of hits you should do in each category to earn this bonus.
They do have a forum on their site where workers share their earnings! As always there are those figuring out how to make the system work for them and how to earn the most. It looks like the average payout is between $10 to $30.
When and How Does Clixsense Pay?
Payments are processed twice a week on Monday and Friday afternoon before 5 p.m. EST. Minimum balance to cashout is $10. If you choose Payoneer as a payout method, you must have $20 in your account. Payment can be made via Dwolla, Payoneer, Skrill, a Tango card (gift card), or a paper check mailed to your home.
What Are the Computer Requirements to Work at Clixsense?
The computer requirements are quite relaxed. Just have high-speed Internet or even wireless Internet. Also, make sure that you do have anti-virus software as well as anti-malware software installed. There are many vendors out there, and you don’t always know what is going on in their computers.
Years ago, a very good friend of mine had a Trojan jump right out at her computer and it unhooked her Microsoft Updates. Needless to say, she canceled her Clixsense account.
One very good thing about Clixsense is that you can access it anywhere. You can use your computer, your friend’s computer, the computer at the library, etc. You will not be deactivated or terminated for using another IP address.
Clixsense has a toolbar to download if you’d like as well as a Helpdesk where you can submit a ticket for any technical issues.
How Does Clixsense Rate Its Workers?
It doesn’t seem to have a formal Clixsense review system for ranking workers, unless there are too many complaints about you or you are spamming or inactive. If you have not logged in for 90 days then your account will be closed automatically.
Can Workers Outside of the US Work at Clixsense?
Yes, Clixsense does accept workers from other countries. On their forum, they even have other languages conversing. You can earn more from your referrals if you're a premium member.
Does Clixsense Have a Referral Program?
Yes, Clixsense has a referral program that can go up to 8-tiers. This is how some of the “big money makers” make some of their earnings.
