FeaturePoints is an app I found out about that you can download for either iPhone, Android, or the web that lets you earn rewards for trying out apps. This seems like pretty much a win-win because most of us try out apps occasionally anyway, for no reward. We have a FeaturePoints review for you below to help you decide whether to download it.
How to Use The FeaturePoints App
Download the app to your mobile device and go through the list of free apps available. You'll notice that every app listed has points associated. If you download any of the apps listed to your mobile device and use them for 30 seconds to one minute, you'll get those points. And apparently they are always adding new apps so you likely won't run out of apps you can earn points from too often.
Currently FeaturePoints is open worldwide.
What to Redeem For On FeaturePoints
It looks like FeaturePoints has a lot of different rewards to choose from. Currently, they offer Amazon, PayPal, App Store, Xbox, PlayStation, Starbucks, Bitcoin, and many more.
I'm always happy to see Paypal as a redemption option on anything that pays in points because that automatically makes it a lot more like you're getting paid in cash.
Another thing you can do is trade in your points for apps you may want that cost money. It's a great way to get premium apps for free.
Update – FeaturePoints pays as promised. I requested $5 to Paypal and the money went almost instantly into my account.
Minimum Points to Redeem
If you are after a Paypal redemption, it looks like you need 6000 points to get $10.
The amount you need to get a premium app varies, but from the looks of things you'll need a minimum of 594 points for the cheaper apps.
However, most of the free apps that you can download and earn points for give you a generous amount of points, so it probably won't take you that long to reach the minimum for something you want if you use the app often.
Note – this app will limit how many times you can redeem per day.
Does FeaturePoints Actually Pay?
Yes. You can see my Paypal payment proof below where I requested $5.
FeaturePoints has a fairly generous referral program, too. If anyone signs up to use the app under your referral link or by putting in your referral code, you'll get 50 percent of the points they earn on the apps they download.
Note that this does NOT take away from your friend's points — they will still get all the allotted points for any apps they download. It's just a bonus FeaturePoints gives to you for referring your friends.
You definitely will want to sign up under someone if you can, not only because it helps them but also because that's the only way you can start off with 50 points.

Hi! 🙂 Just wondering, when you started off using Feature Points, did you have the option to redeem Paypal cash??
I just downloaded the app today! And I noticed the only rewards I can redeem are Gift cards such as Amazon, Starbucks, iTunes etc. So I was wondering if the only reason why I can’t see the option to redeem Paypal cash can be due to how new I am to this app? Or for some other reason?
Do you think you could figure out this puzzle piece? 😛 haha I’m seriously so confused and so curious. Thank you <3
P.S. I'm also living in the US so yeah 🙂
That is weird, Cami. I had the Paypal option right off the bat, but I didn’t have Amazon (if I remembering correctly). Maybe the rewards change around? But yeah, I definitely saw the Paypal option as soon as I downloaded the app.
Oh man.. this is really making me unhappy 🙁 I preferred paypal cash so I can pay off some gas, but eh seems to me as if there won’t be any other options. Did you submit your email to FeaturePoints when you downloaded it? x
And since you didn’t have Amazon back when you first started, do you have the Amazon option now?
I don’t remember if I did or not. 🙁 I can’t check the app right now because it’s on my husband’s phone and he is at work, but I’ll check it as soon as I have access to it again. I’ll do some digging around online as well and see if I can find out about the rewards offered.
Do you remember if you signed up using your email? If you didn’t that may be the problem … you do have to have an email to get a Paypal payment. If you’ll look around inside the app, you may be able to find somewhere that you can put in your email address (under settings or something) and then after you do that, it might let you have the Paypal option for cashing out.
I’ve got a wife and two kids. This is all I have left! Please use my code 3D5YCA and get 50 bonus points!
