Have you always dreamed of finding a way to make money losing weight? You're not alone. Many people (myself included) believe that having money as a motivator will aid in reaching weight loss and fitness goals.
While physically becoming healthier and dropping pounds is already a lot of motivation, getting paid or rewarded in addition to the physical benefits could be just the thing to ensure you reach your goal.
So today, I've made a list for you of several different ways you can make money losing weight and also for working out. These are all legitimate and researched opportunities.
7 Ways To Make Money Losing Weight And Working Out
#1 – HealthyWage
HealthyWage is probably the most popular option on our list today. It's a pretty simple concept — you bet on yourself to lose weight within a certain timeframe that you choose.
If you actually do lose the weight, you get back what you bet plus a lot more.
If you don't lose the weight, you're out the money you put up. So, you need to be pretty confident you're actually going to do it before you place the bet.
How does HealthyWage know you actually lost the weight? It's simpler than you think. When you first place your bet, you video yourself with your phone (or have a friend do it for you) of you standing on the scale so they can see the number. Then, you just do this again once the timeframe you chose to lose the weight has ran out.
Another option is to get weighed at the doctor's office or a weight loss clinic and have it signed and sent to HealthyWage.
HealthyWage does pay — many members have had success here and gotten their payments as promised.

#2 – DietBet
DietBet is a lot like HealthyWage because you also bet on yourself to lose weight here. The primary difference I see is that HealthyWage focuses more on individual weight loss whereas DietBet has a focus on group weight loss.
Basically, they have lots of weight loss “games” you can join with other people. You put money in to join the various games and every game has a cash prize.
If your team is successful, you split the pot with everyone else in your group. I guess the advantage here is some people may be more successful with a group effort happening than they would on their own.
DietBet also gives you the option to start up your own weight loss games and add your actual friends/family.

#3 – StickK
This is a site that lets you join and create a “commitment contract” to make money losing weight or find success with other healthy living goals. The goal is entirely up to you as are the parameters.
If you're successful, you can get paid however much money you bet.
One major difference between StickK and DietBet and HealthyWage (above) is that StickK does not take your bet money upfront. However, they will bill you for it if you don't meet your goal at the end of the time you allotted.

#4 – Walgreen's Balance Rewards
Walgreen's wants to reward you for consistent healthy activities and building healthy habits. If you have a Walgreen's in your area, you can sign up for their Balance Rewards program to start reaping the benefits.
You receive points for various healthy “tasks.” For example, you earn points for linking a health app or device to your Walgreen's account, walking, running, cycling, logging your sleep, testing your blood pressure, exercising, monitoring your blood glucose, weighing yourself, and even quitting tobacco products!
You cannot exchange your points for cash, but they are available for savings on your Walgreen's purchases. So if you go there all the time to shop and you're actively doing any of the activities I listed above, there is no good reason not to sign up for this one.

#5 – Achievement
Acheivement is available for Android or Apple device. This company will reward you with cash for all sorts of healthy activities, including meditation, tracking steps, eating healthy foods, sleeping enough hours, and more.
One way to be sure Achievement knows you've successfully done these things is by connecting your account to other “health” apps/devices you may be using like Fitbit, MyFitnessPal, and others.
Payments are made via your Paypal account, or you can request direct deposit. For every 10,000 points you earn, you get $10 in cash.

#6 – StepBet
If walking or running is a healthy habit you participate in, or plan to begin doing, you may want to check out StepBet. It's similar to DietBet because you bet on yourself to meet your step goals.
Like DietBet, you join games with other people, bet the money on yourself that you'll meet your step goals, and then split the pot with the other people playing if you win.
According to the site, most bets are for $40 and most games last about six weeks.

#7 – SweatCoin
Do you prefer bitcoins to cash? If so, you may want to check out SweatCoin.
SweatCoin is very similar to StepBet (above). You download their app and then link it up with your step apps so it knows how many steps you took.
For every 1,000 steps you take, you could earn about .95 SweatCoins (bitcoins).
Your SweatCoins are tradable for actual cash or other prizes.
Note that you only earn SweatCoins for outside walking, so this may not be ideal for you if you walk at a gym or in your house on a treadmill.
