Springboard America is one of the more reputable survey panels out there, having been around since 2009. If you're looking for another survey site to add to your collection, look no further. While Springboard surveys did previously pay in straight cash, they have recently jumped on to the “pay in redeemable points” bandwagon. But still, there's a lot you can do with your points, and this is a legit panel. In our Springboard America review below, I'll explain more about how it works.
Springboard America Pay
Springboard pays you for surveys in something called “Survey Dollars.” This is basically redeemable points. The surveys are worth different amounts depending on how long they are. You might also manage to get into one of their focus groups where the earning potential is much larger.
Once you have 5,000 points (or Survey Dollars) in your account, you can begin requesting rewards. At Springboard, 5,000 points is the equivalent of $50.
Springboard America Rewards Offered
You can turn your Survey Dollars aka points into gift cards to places like Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, and other popular retailers. In addition to store gift cards, you can redeem your points for Visa debit cards that you can use just like cash.
If you are requesting virtual rewards, you may receive them in a day or two. Physical rewards (mailed gift cards) will take longer to reach you in most cases.
Taking Springboard Surveys
Once you're all signed up, all you have to do is wait for survey invitations to show up in your email. Different people get different amounts of surveys, and it all comes down to demographics. If you fill your profile out completely, you have a better chance of getting more invitations to answer surveys.
You can take surveys for Springboard on your desktop or laptop computer. It's also possible to participate in surveys using your smartphone or tablet, so this makes it easier to answer surveys in your downtime when you're on the go or just waiting around somewhere.
Springboard America Reviews
There is a mix of positive and negative reviews here.
Most people that complain about Springboard are annoyed that the cash out threshold is $50. Some of them say they only get one survey a month which would make it take way too long to ever cash out.
On the flip side, other people get weekly surveys and manage to cash out in three to six months.
There is no way to be sure how many surveys you're going to receive when you sign up, unfortunately. It will all just depend on the demographic Springboard is looking for for each survey they send out.
Bottom Line
Is Springboard worth it? The pay out threshold is pretty high but they have a great reputation and pay in cash. Since this is an extra money opportunity and isn't meant to pay the bills, I think it's definitely worthwhile.
As I always say, don't put all your eggs in one basket! Think of Springboard America as an additional survey panel to use instead of the only survey panel you use. The more survey panels you participate in, the more surveys you'll receive, and the more money you'll earn from taking online surveys.
