Today, we have an American Consumer Opinion review for you. This panel is also often referred to as ACOP. They have been around for many years, and they were one of the first panels I ever joined when I began taking paid surveys almost twenty years ago. That's how long they've been online!
American Consumer Opinion is a survey panel that pays you in points. Every point is now equal to one penny.
How much does American Consumer Opinion pay?
Pay is between 100 and 5,000 points. Most you'll find are on the lower end of that spectrum. You might occasionally get invited into focus groups as well, and these tend to pay a lot more than the surveys do.
Note that in order to redeem for anything, you must have at least 1,000 points in your account. That could take a while to build up depending on how many survey invites they send you.
What method of payment do they use?
You can get paid via Paypal, Hyperwallet, or put your points toward sweepstakes entries. Another option they offer is charitable donations.
Who can sign up for American Consumer Opinion?
American Consumer Opinion is open worldwide despite the name. All international participants are welcome to sign up. You must be at least 14 years old to join.
What kinds of surveys do you get?
Most of what you fill out will be regarding products that are either new or about to be released.
American Consumer Opinion also occasionally does product testing and — as stated above — focus groups.
How often does American Consumer Opinion send out surveys?
You won't have to worry about American Consumer Opinion sending you lots of survey invites every day. You'll be lucky to get one every few weeks.
Also, you can't go on the site and find the surveys. The only way you'll know if there is a survey available for you to take there is through your email.
My Experience With American Consumer Opinion
I no longer take surveys for American Consumer Opinion, but I did regularly for a few years and I can honestly say that they were one of the “better ones” because they paid in cash rather than points.
Since I was taking surveys for them, they changed to points, so I'm not sure I'd enjoy it now as much as I did at one time.
That said, if you're in the process of signing yourself up for lots of different survey panels, this may be a good one for you to use.
I've been paid by them several times in the past and they are a reputable, respected company.
